So what’s with these named storms anyway? Nemo?
Due to the expected timing and path of “Winter Storm Nemo”, we’ve decided to postpone Friday’s meeting in lovely Haverhill. Hopefully
Matt and Marjorie will get a chance to host another meeting soon.
The February meeting will be pushed out by a week to FRIDAY 2/15, now at my and Lisa’s house, 391 Oak St., Manchester.
Also a reminder that we are having our NHC-BFD Selection competition that night – so if you haven’t bottled your entries yet, now you have
an extra week to do so and if need be, drop them off. We will be doing the judging first thing on Friday night, so if you have an entry
and/or can help judge, please try to arrive as close to 7:00 as possible so we can get this “work” out of the way and have meeting as
usual.

The first BFD club meeting of 2013 will be hosted by Eric Adriaansen, 5 Chandler Ln, Amherst NH, on Friday Jan. 11th from 7:00 to 10:00 PM. Note that this is a new housing development so your GPS may not find it – Eric’s house is the 3rd on the right.
Please bring beer/mead/cider and some food to share. 2013 dues are due – $20 per household.

This year’s BFD Holiday Party and Meeting will again be hosted by Michael and Berniece Fairbrother, 4 Sheridan Drive, Londonderry, NH, Saturday 12/8, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. This meeting is a potluck event, so please bring a dish (and some beer) to share. A signup link has been shared via the listserv.
We will have a brief business meeting to nominate any additional candidates for club officers and to hold elections. We are still looking for a nominee for secretary. There will also be an optional beer-themed Yankee Swap with a recommended $15-20 gift value. The Yankee Swap will take place at the conclusion of the business meeting, approximately 4:00 PM.
As with all meetings but this one in particular, please plan on consuming responsibly and/or arranging for a ride home. The club-bought keg this year will be a session beer and I’d encourage you to bring something from your cellar or pickup something special from Bert’s that’s a little lower in ABV too.

Reminder that this year’s summer party/potluck will be held on Saturday July 21, starting at 2:00 PM at the Moher’s (17 Haven Drive, Auburn NH). Finally, a quick public service announcement – this being a longer than usual meeting and the tendency (certainly least in my case) to want to drink beer to ward off the hot July sun, please plan ahead about getting home safely. Goes for all meetings but definitely this one. And if you need further prodding, Manchester PD will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint on the 21st. They have been known to setup near the Exit 1 circle – just saying…
