The New England Regional Homebrew Competition continues to grow every year. Last year we had over 290 entries, from 20 states, and we were able to raise $2,200 for the American Cancer Society. We use this competition as a fund raiser for charities in our community, such as American Cancer Society, and The Good Shepherd Food Bank of Maine with the following clubs hosting the competition:

Brew Free or Die & Southern Maine Home Brewers.

So far we have 357 entries registered, and have 54 judges/stewards signed up to help run the competition.

This is a BJCP & AHA Registered/Sanctioned event and judging all 28 BJCP styles for this competition, using the 2008 BJCP style guidelines. We have over $3000 in prizes donated thanks to our sponsors.

Our sponsors continue to make this event one of the premier competitions to enter, or to participate in. We would like to thank all our sponsors for their continued support, but especially Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. for its competition level sponsorship.

This year's judging was held at The Shed, home of Willy's Ale Room in Acton Maine on October 24th 2009.
